You need part number 9287342 for the black surround or 9287344 with silver surround.if the controls aren't working and only the middle fan light illuminates it means it's kcan2 and won't work

I've just bought one that's all singing all dancing, but I'm waiting for the emulator to come for the nav before I got it...

Interesting, I can't seem to find much documentation about what that emulator actually does...seems dodgy hahaha.

So with the emulator, how did you get the monozone climate panel to work? Does this also mean you could tap into it and use a newer style iDrive controller? (the 7 button one as opposed to the touch controller).

I got a HU_ENTRYNAV (9365833) with a monozone climate panel, 7 button iDrive controller (9286699-03) and display for £200...I just thought I'd wait to install it all until the emulator gets here...

EDIT: It does seem that it's all Kcan2 stuff I've acquired here, the iDrive controller isn't just a plug and play to my HU_ENTRY unit it seems - or does it specifically work the the ENTRYNAV unit because it's zbe_high?

For some reason it wouldn't code the navigation and it would be grayed out. Looked as if the fsc codes had been wiped and some have said that I might have done it when installing, though I doubt that as the nbt emulator was in.

After ordering another one it was a simple plug in and code.

Alas, who knows, all I can say is don't wire it in without the emulator.

Also @fez, I had another guy pm'ing me about the same behavior. He returned his and ordered a diff one and worked fine.

@Emilio, when you go in the e-sys, you do get an ikha module, which you then proceed to code, right?

Ideally add the steps you carried out so to better understand if the procedure was carried out correctly.

Yes you have acquired all Kcan2 stuff. I also did the same so learnt the hard way! I'm no good with wiring so I returned the climate control panel and the iDrive controller (same part no. as yours) as they didn't work.

You should be able to get the iDrive controller to work though by tapping into the emulator, just don't ask me how. You might be able to do the same with the climate control panel if you know what you're doing.

Does the emulator, emulate Kcan2 AND the nav activation? This is all relatively new to me so forgive me if i'm misunderstood.

After adding the AC unit pulled from a 64 plate F20, I'd FDL coded as follows IHKA -> 3000 -> KLIMA_SG_ART, changed the value to IHKA_1Z.

So I'm good with the HU_ENTRYNAV I've picked up(?), just the wiring to the iDrive controller that's going to cause me some hassle - I kind of feel determined to get it working, but there seems to be limited information when it comes from going to the 5 button iDrive to the 7 button one. There's loads from 7 to the touch controller, but I just want the 7 button one god damn!

Wondering where I could find some documentation so I could attempt to tap into the emulator?

The HU will be fine (as long as it's not faulty). Just don't plug it in without the emulator. Ogb666 might be able to help you with the wiring for the controller.

I'm reopening this post because I'm trying to install the Automatic AC control. Mine is a 120d 2012 Msport.
I've tried to change the panel from manual (64119287339) to the automatic one (6411938404. I installed it and without coding it isn't working. There's a led on in the center of the air control leds, and another 2 on the right heated seat.
I tried coding from IHKR to IHKA_1Z, but the problem remained, also the keys aren't working correctly, it seems when I click the left heated seat control, it turn on the air.
Is there anything else to add? I heard that is needed another climate control unit before 2013. Is it true?
I mounted the manual and coded, now it works, but I want the automatic one.
Do I need an adapter?
