Yellow vs Black Powerflex bush inserts

Hi,

I'm looking to tie down the rear axle a bit more and planning to do bush inserts followed by dampers later next year. Car is my daily driver, so wary of making it too uncomfortable.

Would be good to hear some opinions on the black/yellow inserts from Powerflex - especially anyone running them alongside adaptive dampers. Seen a lot of conflicting views on the NVH introduced by the black inserts especially, so any advice would be welcome!

Thanks

I went with Black and regretted them for my DD. Probably perfect for a track toy, but too harsh for me and my roads.

I ended up removing some, and modifying others with a Stanley knife. I would go yellow in future personally.

I went with Black and haven't regretted it for a moment... so this topic isn't going to be very helpful ;)
Eibach springs add comfort, black inserts and bilstein adaptives take some away again. Huge improvement in handling, perfectly acceptable change in nvh. And i'm at 80k+ miles so very much a daily.

Thanks guys! These things are always subjective, but good to get a couple of opinions. I can see you’ve both got Eibachs fitted - did those make a noticeable change as well?

In my opinion springs are the first change you need to make, eibachs are both more comfortable & better for handling in my experience.
I've only now actually read your signature, all that power and no suspension work, can't imagine that's a very pleasant mix to drive fast on a country road ...

Yeah, it's not great...

Roads around me are OK, but it shuffles around a bit on B roads. Thanks for the advice on the springs.

They shouldnt really give that much NVH. Even the solid bushes arent that bad. Remember the F80/F82/F87 cars dont have bushings at all and have the subframe mounted direct to boot floor. I'd go for the black every time.
Thanks, someone at work has just got an M2C, will have to have a ride in that for reference!
