The prices still the same? Was informed a few days ago that my car has arrived at the dealers so it's all set for pick up on the 1st.
Sorry - I missed this. Are you asking if our GAP insurance prices are still the same? If so, yes, there's been no changes.

Give me a call or drop me an email if you'd like further details (it's pretty manic here at this time of year so getting time to check the forum for and reply to messages etc is limited).

Best wishes

David
No problem. I'll phone and pay for this tomorrow morning. Tried phone the other night but never realised you close at 17:15.
Frustratingly we were probably here too! There's a bug in our phone system at the moment which kicks them in to "Night Mode" at 17:15 and won't let us override it when we're actually still here. Hopefully we'll have that resolved any time now.

I'm not in the office personally tomorrow morning, but please do call still as any of the team will be able to assist you.

Best wishes

Ordered this earlier from Tom. Very fast and easy transaction and most importantly a great price. Thanks.
What did you end up going for in the end? I am confused about what GAP / years to go for.

As I've got the car on HP for 4 years I went for the 4 year replacement gap with the ÂŁ20,000 limit for ÂŁ200.46.

I think BMW wanted ÂŁ350 for it but that was just to invoice price. You get your 10% off for being a member on here so I saved an extra ÂŁ20.

Wasn't going to buy GAP at first but for the sake of ÂŁ200 for 4 years cover on a 30k car then it's nothing.

For ÂŁ150-ÂŁ200 it really is a no brainier. My wife's friend picked up a new jeep only to have it written off after 3 days of ownership from new! God forbid but should anything like that happen it will be the best ÂŁ200 you've ever spent! That said I could get an awesome iron man figure for my collection for ÂŁ200 :lol2:

I've just bought mine from ALA. would have bought from David but as I've got GAP on my current car I can move the remainder over to the new one without penalty.

Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

Replacement vehicle for me.

how will it work on let say 22k second hand car please 9k miles ayear
The easiest way example to give you briefly, is that of an Invoice GAP Insurance policy. You can purchase this type of GAP insurance for up to 5yrs at a time.

If you bought that car for ÂŁ22k (within the last 12 months (or not yet purchased) and it's less than 10yrs old) and it went on to be written off through accident, fire, theft or flood etc, your Motor Insurance would only pay you what they thought the car was worth at the time of the incident.

Let's say it's written off at a point in time when your Motor Insurer deem it to be worth ÂŁ12k... An Invoice GAP insurance policy would then aim to pay you the ÂŁ10k difference between your ÂŁ12k Motor Insurance payout and the ÂŁ22k original invoice price.

Thus, without Invoice GAP insurance (in this example) you'd have ÂŁ12k to put towards your next vehicle (not accounting for any finance you might need to pay off). By comparison with Invoice GAP insurance you'd have ÂŁ22k to put towards your next vehicle (again, not accounting for any finance you might need to pay off).

It's just about that simple.

See for more info.

so what price would that be please can it be used on private sellers or just from a garage
We can only provide a policy if you bought the car from a Motor Dealer but other companies can provide a policy if you bought the car from a private seller however their policy will be based on what the likes of Glass' Guide determine your vehicle to be worth at the time you buy the policy which may well be a different figure than the price you paid for the vehicle.

As for policy price, it depends on how long you want the cover for and what Claim Limit you want the policy to incorporate. As an example though, based on a ÂŁ22k vehicle, a 3yr policy and say a ÂŁ15k Claim Limit, our price would be ÂŁ108.46 less your 10% forum discount making: ÂŁ97.61.
