Hi all, new guy here. I have had BMW's on and off for years (E30 318is, E46 328i sedan, E46 330 Ci, currently F15 X5 35i). Today I picked up a 2014 F21 M135i xDrive in Apine White, and I am in love all over again. Problem is, it has horrible aftermarket wheels which I want to replace asap. Ideally I would go for the original 436M, but where I live they are hard to find used and new is out of my price range. I have found a set of replicas, 18x8 ET43 all round which I understand should fit without spacers (although I am ready to be corrected). I actually prefer a square setup but the tire choice is trickier!
225/40, 235/40, or 245/35. Ideally I would prefer that the tire edge sits in line with the rim of the wheel - suggestions?
I'm thinking 235/40

Hey guys, im looking for new wheels for my M140i xdrive. 8,5x18 245/35 all around, but i am not sure about the ET. I really like JR SL01, but they make them either in ET35 or ET20-42. Is ET42 okay? I have stock adaptive suspension. Thx

Hello everyone, I'm new here and having already read a lot about rims, I would have liked light rims but still 17 inches squared for reasons of driving comfort and back pain.

I like the Bola FLB 17x8J ET40 mentioned by Gez and Nyxeris, but I don't know if they're suitable in ET40 for my M140i xDrive because of the original 2NH 340mm M sport brakes?

It is fitted with a set of BILSTEIN B12 shock absorbers.

My other choice is PROTRACK ONE 7.5x17 ET30 but that might be too tight on the outside.

Do you have any experience with these dimensions?
Any suggestions?

Didn’t want to create another thread, read so many posts and think I’ve extracted the optimum 18 sized wheels for a F20 M140 running stock suspension and sensibly maxing out tyre size. Please can someone confirm?

F: 8J ET40 245/35/18
R: 9J ET50 265/35/18

Hi!
I need help, I must buy new wheels for my 118D F20 Msport Xdrive. I must use oem tyres 225/40/18 for front and 245/35/18 for rear.
The wheels that I have found are available with 8.5j and 9.5j et from 25 to 45.
What is the best fitment without rub?
I’d like 9.5j on rear for concave effect.. maybe with et45 works. Someone has the same setup with that tyres? Thanks

Hi! Looking for some advice on a set of alloys.on my 2019 M140i
JR-SL01 Front and rear 18x8.5 ET 38. Hoping to run 245/35/18 all round for a square setup. My main concern is front strut clearance. I know it’s a bit aggressive but hoping to fill the arches without and rubbing or rolling needed also running MMR springs.
Thanks for the help!
Hi mate, finally do you have installed that setup without issues? SL01 18x8,5 e38?

JR Wheels SL01 18" 8.5 ET38. Looks absolutely stunning in person! Fitted with Michelin Pilot Sports 4 (245/35 R1:cool2: - what a difference after runcraps! Just wow, so impressed!

Thinkin about lowering car a bit but not sure yet, roads here are the worst :(

Hi mate! Fit without any mods? No issues? 225/4/18 front and 245/35/18 rear? Thanks!

Hello,

I opened this thread with no luck:

I'll post here the same question but seems like I won't have luck again :S. Not sure if @marco_polo could help. Would be very grateful. After searching a bit more I found one of his messages but the lca + ts weren't involved in the "equation".

Original thread:

I've been searching the forum but I'm not sure of the correct answer.

I have an M140i and I'm going to fit M4 LCA + TS with Bilstein B16.

I like the design of the BBS CI-R but I'm not sure of the ideal size for the wheels in 19".

I think that some time ago, in the BBS configurator you could get a staggered configuration advice, but now it will only give the sizes for a square setup.

I'd like to fit 235 front, 255 rear or 245 front, 265 rear.

Thanks in advance!

BBS CI-R should be available in:

19 x 8" ET45 245/30/19 (you might need a 3mm/5mm spacer for front brake/Bilstein clearance)

19 x 9" ET44 255/30/19
19 x 9" ET48 265/30/19

Thank you very much for your help marco_polo.

I have to check if they have something with that ET on the "unlimited" model because I'd like to fit them without spacer if possible... that should be valid to clear the caliper or strut, no?

Again, thank you for your help.

EDIT:

After checking, the unlimited wheels only have this options:

I'd like concav. 1 but it wouldn't fit with 265 and would rub on the inside? So the only option would be the third one to fit the larger tyres, no?

You would need approx ET49 if you want to fit 265/30/19 on the back, ET45 would rub. So yes, the third set is your best option.

Hey all, how would you rate the fitment of these on a F21 M Sport with at least stock rear tyres (as recently bought) and stock suspension?

18 x 8" w/ ET35 front and rear

Cheers

Done a bit more research and would rather keep the staggered setup. This thread and @marco_polo has been extremely useful but still finding myself struggling to bite the bullet.

Currently looking at the VMR V801's in 18x8.5 et 35 and 18x9.5 et 45 or 18x8.5 et 45 and 18x9.5 et 50. I just replaced my rear tyre ( 245/35/18 ) but would the fronts need replaced and would be open to different sizes if it helps. I believe both wheel options should fit with the first being much more pokey and second being more conservative but not sure if the second option is too close to the inside for clearing suspension etc.

Struggling to find somewhere that socks these in 18" in the UK, have emailed them to check if they are holding stock or not.

Thanks for any assistance!
