These are 8.5J ET42.

Going by the idea that 9.5J need to be ET50 and 9J ET44, 8.5J ET38 should just about be ok. I'd be concerned about the front though.

Which wheels are you looking at, someone might be able to help if they have experience of them
What is the width of your tires? 245, 255?

245, may switch to 255 when they need changing. Thinking about wider fronts too now I have the 8J on there

Thank you, considering to fit 255 on a 8.5J myself.

Are your tires with rim protection and what brand?

I think that was all for now :D

Still on the 245 MPSS so they do offer a bit of rim protection, just less so than on the 8J rears

Hi there I have just joined the forum as I got my 1 series just under two weeks ago. I have to that I say I looked at this thread because I saw a set of winter wheels online that looked to be just the ticket but I thought I would just check the offset and to be honest I am now completely lost. I have bought a 120d xdrive and it is booted with 18" wheels, what I have seen online is as follows
7.5 X 17 5/120 ET35 Wolfrace Scorpio 72.6
225/45 17 HR Nokian WR A3 (94H)
Can anybody please tell me if these will fit on my car as they are shod with nice Nokian winter tyres which would be great for the colder months.

Thanks.

No problems at all! :) That's a guaranteed fit. They will poke out 8mm more in the front and back compared to stock wheelsize, so nothing to worry about.

hello i try to ask here ..

i have 2016 f20 lci m-sport

and just bought mbdesign lv1 8.5x19 et42 with 225/35/-19

and wondered if eibach pro with bilstein b12 (25/30mm) would be ok to install without any rubbing?

and what about eibach sportline with bilstein b12 shocks?(40mm)

the minute i mounted the new wheels i immediately knew i had to lower it some..

AC Schnitzer Type 3 18x8.5 ET43 (with 5mm spacer) 225/40/18 tyres

No rubbing with the tyres I was using.. Car is lowered on KW v1 coilovers

I was on 225 tyres on 8.5" ET38 and it was close if you look at my AC Schniter wheels posted on previous page but you may be ok (disclaimer)
