I have a standard 2016 118i se and was wondering if the f30 400m wheels and stock tyres would fit without issues or would i need to change all the tyres to 40s in the front and 35s in the back? Standard rears are 255/40/18 and 225/45/18 front? Thanks

I'll need the last opinion from the experts:

Ultimate setup
8.0x18 ET 42 or 40? With option of 235/40 and 245/35
9.0x18 ET 50 or 52? With option of 255/35 and 265/35

A few people ran similar sizes on Koya wheels front ET40 and rear ET50, but I would like more room for the F8x I'm fitting on my car.

I think the rear should be fine but I'm more concerned about the fronts??
Which one should I go with?
Thanks

8" ET40 and 9" ET50 will take 245/35 and 265/35
Thanks Marco as usual!
Shall I avoid the front 8.0ET45?
I'm contemplating between the poke difference for front and rear, and ET45 looks like a better choice. I saw some users with Bola 8.5Et40 which is more aggressive than 8.0Et45 in terms of distance from the strut?
But if you say so I'll totally get it.

Thanks again

You'll struggle to get a 245 on the front at ET45 as the tyre will rub on the strut. I'd go the correct ET40 every time, saves you having to buy 5mm non-concentric spacers and longer bolts.
Great! I didn't think about the bolts. :D
For the rear if go for 9.0ET50 will I need another set of bolts?
Hopefully the 265/35 Bridgestone will fit!

Hey!
So I was looking for a place on the internetz where I could get some nice info regarding wheels for my F20 and I think I have found one :) I went through this whole thread (took a while), got some ideas but just want to make sure it's ok.

First of all, the patient is 2015 LCI M135i with H&R springs (-25mm all around). Current set (with Michelin PS4):
- Front - 225/40/18 with OEM 7.5 / ET 45 (+10mm H&R spacers)
- Back - 245/35/18 with OEM 8.0 / ET 52 (+13mm H&R spacers)
Could go a bit more with the spacers, though it is my daily, I drive people around from time to time and I want to keep it safe with arches and stuff.

And I'm slowly thinking about switching wheels for 19inch, preferably without spacers.

Was thinking about those wheels: - they are in 2 widths - 8.5 and 9.5
- they offer custom ET on both sizes - ranging from 20 to 45

so I would like to confirm what the best choice would be :) for Micheli PS4S preferably

FRONT:
- I've seen that the proposed specs for 19x8.5 here were: 19x8.5 ET 35 with 235/35/19
- I don't mind if it "pokes" out a bit, but don't want it rubbing :)
- question is if a safer option would be 19x8.5 ET 40 to move the wheel a bit more inside - will that be ok with the struts and stuff?

REAR:
- this case is more complex, there are two options here: 8.5 again, and 9.5 (9.5 looks cool with that deep concave design)
- thing is that ET 45 is the highest value for both again
- 19x8.5 ET 45 with 255/30/19 seems safe choice from what I have read here (bit smaller ET maybe? 40? :F)
- but there is a temptation - what about 19x9.5 ET 45 with 255/30/19 tires? will they fit? I don't want to do any rolling and stuff, just want them to sit nicely like in the current setup I have

Thank you for your feedback!
M.

I'd be going:

Front: 19x8.5 ET 40 with 235/35/19 or 245/30/19
Rear: 19x8.5 ET 44 with 255/30/19

-------------------------------

19x9.5" ET 45 with 255/30/19 should sort of fit, the wheels would be quite stanced though - you'd have to mind those kerbs. Here's an example of exactly how pokey they'd be:

Hey,

ok, so the 9.5 would stick out a lot, this won't do.

so would be going for:
Front: 19x8.5 ET 40 with 235/35/19 or 245/30/19
Rear: 19x8.5 ET 44 with 255/30/19

thought that this would be, more or less, the perfect and safe fit :)
will try to find some pics of that setup maybe

The ACS wheels for our F20 in 18" are 8.5" and ET43

I'm very tempted by a set, on offer at ÂŁ999. What tyres would you run on these? 225/40 are an option but I'd like to go at least 235

However, before I take the plunge I wondered if there is anything better from the OEM range for around the same price? A used set of 405M 19s perhaps? But surely a new set is always preferable to used!

Aesthetics aside, are ACS well regarded, good quality kit?

Thanks Marco, I was hoping you'd reply!

My MPSS have about 5mm all round so I could use them. The chap at ACS suggested 225 40 all around, but it feels a bit skinny for 8.5.

I'll be moving to B16 suspension also.

225/40 is too skinny for an M-Lite summer rear, imo. 5mm is plenty of life, I'd pop those on for starters.

When they need replacing, have a measure up of the clearances. They should just be able to take 235/40 fronts matched to 255/35 rears, in theory.
