Hi,

Anyone used the above for cleaning fuel system etc.

Cant find any bad reviews on line and suppost to increase bhp by upto 10% also better fuel consumption etc.

My car has done 87k now and wondering if it would benefit from having it done.

It's an hour long process and you can definitely feel the difference in the seat of your pants.

Not alot of money for a full carbon removal , front to back.

Apparently when some diesels get it done, the amount of soot coming out the back is horrendous.

I've watched some videos on YouTube where they put cameras down the cylinders to see if the terra clean even did what it's supposed to and there was little to know difference.

Apparently you can spray water into the intake and it does the same thing a terra clean would loool.

Has your got car high mileage btw?

The terraclean system plugs in to the fuel system.

Under the rear passenger seat to be precise. It totally eliminates your fuel tank for the hour long process.

I'd recommend it no problem, for the price of a couple of tanks of fuel, you'll be well pleased with the results in an 84k mile car.

If I still have mine, it'll be getting done again in another 40k or so.

For a diesel owner, especially with dpf issues - it's a no brainer.

ecotune do it they have done before and after dyno runs and it definitely frees up the engine a bit.

When mine was done it was amazing the rainbow of smoke that came out the back so it definitely did some cleaning.

as has been stated it won't clear any inlet coking on direct inj engines. (Stupid egr)

From what I've heard it's pretty pointless for direct injection engines, the whole point is to clean the valves no? As suggested the walnut blasting is only option for us and either a catch can or just VTA. Fuel system wouldn't need a clean, constant flow of what I would hope is 98/99 Ron wouldn't create issues. Run cleaner fuel, run ethanol ;)

I run tesco 99 and have done since owning the car. But as previously said car has done 87k and I have only had it for 2k. For 120 quid I take the chance and see if I can feel the difference or if it is placebo..

I've has mine done & cost ÂŁ90, didn't notice a massive gain in performance (but my remap had recently been whipped with out me knowing which would have effected my judgement) but the car did run smoother, when it was done there was a **** load of black soot so if its cleaned up some sh!t in the engine then im happy to have it done again to keep it running nicely.

Also when i was at P-Torque, Will mentioned how well my car way pulling for its age which I'm sure the TerraClean helped.

No
Its to clean carbon build up in combustion chamber and exhaust system Inc cat and o2 sensors. Not really for inlet Valves. A small amount should make it through inlet via egr but it's unlikely to be effective.

Using a higher octane fuel actually increases carbon build up as it is more resistant to combustion.

Terra clean is just a very refined low octane petrol
