I changed the battery in they keyfob dont know if that could be the cause. But no coding or anything going on. I do have two sets of keys the spare one is in the house. Since it's on the keys might bring both keys to the car see if maybe one key has the service history or something not sure how it works :/

 

The joys of paperless society, no service books anymore and a computer glitch can totally destroy your servicing record. Not such a brilliant idea after all is it BMW??

 

Was the ignition second stage. Two presses but engine not running ?

 

When going into the menu make sure you have scrolled all the way to the top. Mine defaults to show what services are due, and then with iDrive if you scroll up it shows the history option.

I.e when you enter nr3 make sure you scroll up before it becomes visible.

Hi no Ignition was fully on was driving about and such just fancied looking at it. And cant find it

Hopefully this is the answer. I shall check in the morning. However I feel like the list isnt even long enough that it needs scrolling up or down

Tell me about it. Not the greatest idea really. Apparently other people had similar issues and occured when their batteries got disconnected.

 

I'd be very surprised if this was the case. All modern systems write to flash memory which maintains coded information without power.
