My M240i vs M4 DCT
BP - I don't own dashcams or any such equipment, nor do I wish to advertise the fact on video. Although I've not clamimed anything about the TMC as you know as some do. But take me on my word about it.Blind Pugh said:Either way - another very compelling case for b58 cw jb4. Add an upgraded DP and the b58 will be able to respond quicker, sound better and no doubt give more within the infamous fuelling cap buried deep within DME.
Hope to see a similar demo of b58 TMC soon. Todate, TMC owners have posted lots of claimed numbers and stats but no real world proof yet........

The new M140 is quicker so I would expect much better results.
I think we have all the endorsements we need and I have no reason to promote TMC. Far from it.
But it would be interesting to do a side by side with JB4. The car is so quick now although I do wonder if it was enough as standard. It borders now on being too much power, but it is rather fun....
BP - it is in terms of power and speed, and the car itself is a step up from the previous car. I prefer the adaptive suspension and a few of the other little touches. The 'but' for me, and I know it's not the best time of year in terms of road conditions, is it almost seems like too much power for the chassis. Hard to explain but it's like part of the car is trying to wriggle free of itself. Fine in corners but sometimes in a straight line it can catch you out a bit under full load. Never had that in the previous car, although it had less power of course.Blind Pugh said:P70,platinum70 said:My M135 with TMC matched an M4 cabrio.

I'm fortunate to have sampled both m135i jb4 and m235i TMC so know n55 pros and cons of TMC v JB4, additive maps v absolute maps.
Like you, I've driven away from/around numerous m3, m4, 911's and v8 f types both on road and track days. Not scientific at all but ups the feel good factor without a doubt. Had numerous positive comments / expletives about how my car gets down the road, mainly from folk how have ridden in or driven it.
I'm glad that you feel b58 TMC is a step up from n55 TMC.
