Morning all,

Car is due a service, currently sat on 80k with FBMWSH.

While I'd like to keep the BMW fsh, the car is obviously depreciating fairly fast with its current mileage and I'll likely to run it to the ground - with that I've a couple of options.

BMW service - costly in respect of the other two options for what is very little benefit unless I sell & given the higher mileage of my car, unlikely to be affected against option 2.

Specialist - the middle ground, cheaper than option one, can they update iDrive? Retains receipted and documented service history in the event I do sell.

DIY - cheapest, I'm more than capable of doing it myself, can keep receipts for the consumables used etc but is likely to affect resale if I choose to do that, albeit marginally.

What would you choose?
The car owes me about ÂŁ10k.

Can an Indy update iDrive?
I'm struggling to find reputable BMW specialists around Corby, Northants, if anyone could recommend one?

Thanks!

A decent independent garage can definitely update idrive . The Bmw specialist I use do and the key also gets updated to Munich.
