Hi, I'm currently in Morocco with my car that has iDrive7.
I used Google Maps navigation all the way to Spain, but as soon as I crossed the Gibraltar strait, Android Auto stopped working.
The Android auto option has dissappeared from the drop down menu bar at the top. The Android Auto option is still visible under mobile devices, but it fails to connect. Everytime I get an error screen with something like "Check the wifi and bluetooth settings on your mobile device, Try again/cancel". I tried everything I could find to fix the issue (resetting iDrive, updating services, re-pairing, etc...) but with no success. Could this be a regional restriction by BMW and/or Google?
