Sorry, not been on for a while.

Full heated leather interior was ÂŁ450. Switch panel was ÂŁ30. Misc wiring ÂŁ20 perhaps. So let's say ÂŁ500 plus labour.

I did get around ÂŁ150 back from selling my old half leather interior.

R.e. The official retrofit PDF.

I have a pre-facelift and would be absolutely over the moon if one kind person would be able to re-upload the said document!

Kindest regards,

Jeremy

Hi there really good write up with details and images! I got the seats working with your help!

However I have just one issue the driver side seat works and will heat up however sometimes it'll just turn off within 15/18 seconds of turning the seats on via the heating controls which connect into the climate control? Any ideas on what may be causing this?

2x 61 13 0 007 438 Double leaf spring contact (Fuse holders X11008 & X11001)
1x 61 13 1 378 906 Double leaf spring contact (Fuse holder X11001)

All the fuses are the "mini" type. Fuse locations may vary, this info is valid for a facelift 130i with manual seats.
I think these two contacts are identical but the 61131378906 has a length of wire already attached.

Just wanted to add a bit of info I have compiled while doing this on my 05/2009 build e87 118i. Do not used the guide for the e90 for this retrofit!
If the new seats need the side bolsters hooked up run them both from the seat to the x11002 connector PIN number 10. This needs a 10a fuse. (61138377734 leaf spring contact not mentioned in this thread)

Heat function needs the power run from the seats to the fuse panel (large power wire) to the x11006 connector (driver seat to pin 1) (passenger pin 2) (61138377734 leaf spring contact not mentioned in this thread)

Drivers side and passenger side small power are combined and connect at the fuse box at the x11001 connector and fused with a 10a fuse. ( Leaf spring contact 61131378906)

On a side not, if you are ALSO adding heated steering wheel;
You need to run a single line from the steering connection to the x11001 plug at the fuse box at PIN number 5 and fuse it with a 10a fuse ( Leaf spring contact 61131378906)

Ok all wired up, retrofit coding complete (Ista-p and icom) but.... no lights on the switches... no heat at the seats either. Does anyone know what could cause this?
I checked, rechecked and rechecked the wiring, checked fuses and still nothing.. on a positive note though my heated steering wheel works.. lol

Hi guys,

I have a 120d M Sport 2008 coupe and my wife a 118d M Sport 2008 convertible.

Mine has standard seats and hers has leather heated seats. Can I switch them? :)
