Check the bulb holders. If water gets in it can corrode where the bulb sits which causes intermittent errors (eventually corroding to the point they’re not intermittent anymore).

 

Have you got a trailer electrics socket on the car?

 

Cant see any corrosion on any of the pins or bulb contacts, and no trailer lights. Everything's bone dry.
Wondering if I have a break in the earth cable somewhere, not sure its something I'm going to be able to sort unfortunately.

 

You could run a test wire from the battery negative to the indicator bulbs earth to see if that is the problem?

yeah they keep coming back, the garage I'm going to book it into doesnt think its the frm. Will try the earth shunt.

 

Does the vehicle have reversing sensors ? if so check the rear PDC Module isn't sat in a puddle of water.

 

No reversing sensors.
It so odd, did 10 miles this morning no errors everything working fine with the lights on then turning into work the errors come up and the indicators start flashing quickly.

 

How old is the Battery?

 

Not sure tbh but I did check voltages and it was 12.7v on battery and at front of car when not running so assumed it was ok.

 

Yeah I couldn't see anything but there is a tab on the side I might be able to fix to.

Could it be the LED that's bad in the actual light lenses ? the warning that's coming up does say side light.

 

If you are getting a warning for a light that is working, but not for one that isn't working, it sounds like an earth issue. If it's having to earth through some other device that might be why it seems like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, like maybe the indicators work until you brake while they are on

 

all the lights are working, just wondered if the LED side light in the cluster could be fauly (even thou it looks ok) Tried adding an earth, cleaned up the trace with wirewool and clamped a cable to it and its still getting the errors. Booked in 10 days time.
