That 3d design spoiler is the only one I'd consider for mine, very smart but slightly pricy.

3D Design stuff is very stylish but crazy money

The MP one is not a huge visual upgrade but it is noticeable and does look good in piano black

The other option is the ACS hoop style which is also offered my SSDD Motorsport in a copied (cheaper) version

How do you go from 179$ + shipping and add import/vat etc to £600?

I guess over here I could have it on my car for 300 euro with shipping and taxes included. I really like this design as well... Tempting.

Bringing this one back from the dead - any other companies managed a similar design without the high price tag?

Don't fancy the ACS or the knock offs on eBay.

Could be wrong but I believe he's recently married so likely been wedding planning and is now enjoying his honeymoon

 

Update.

Benjamin Sunners from Mulgari Automotive got back to me regarding the 3D Design Rear Spoiler for the F20. The original price for supplied and painted is £612.74 inc. VAT however, he is happy for a group buy opportunity to present itself. He didn't say what the discount would be or how many are needed, just said "a few to come forward".

If anyone is in a position later this year or early 2018 to go ahead with this, better to go in together so we can all benefit from a discount.

3D Design are a high quality Japanese company, I don't know their exact mold making process though:

Sorry, I meant what is the mold being used for the Mulgari version. Do they have an original 3D design they are working off, or are they working off the eBay spec lol

 

surely they are a supplier of them and not actually making them, just reselling a 3d design spoiler, not an their own version

 

They are one of two UK dealers for 3DDesign, so I'd hope it's a genuine Japanese molding!

Tricky, MP, my apologies.

I had completely misinterpreted everything. I thought Mulgari were simply ripping off the design of the "3D Design" product, creating their own version, and selling at 600 pounds a pop.

If they are a distributor and it's being made in Japan and imported by Mulgari - that 600 pounds seems perfectly reasonable and in line with expectations of a quality product.

If they are manufacturing the product in the UK by way of licence from 3D Design in Japan, I'm sure that quality would still stand as well - so 600 pounds for that would also make sense.

I feel silly for assuming otherwise. My bad.

 

I'll give the thread a nudge in another couple of months but with Christmas approaching and then the long January right after, I got a feeling we might not revisit this until March .

But if there are a few who are happy to go ahead soon-ish just add your interest in the thread and we'll go from there.
