I have a stock 135i
Very nice it is too , but, it's a tad too civilised in the sound department.
What are peoples opinions on the nicer noise , either induction or exhaust ?
I don't want LOUD .. Just a more appropriate sound from this fantastic straight 6 N55

Free... golf tee mod. I just kinked the pipe with a cable tie - no vacuum leak and no crap in the vacuum flap actuator. It gives a bit more growl at low revs but never drones.

Naff clip, but it shows what to do:

As above suggestions but imho...

1. Golf tee mod
2. Y pipe resonator delete
3. BMWP back box
If still too civilised (unlikely) then decat pipe :lol2:

Got some vids of similar mods on the first page of my build thread here:
Cheers,

I've got rid of the resonator on mine and did the golf tee mod. It's still reasonably civilised until you press the loud pedal and then it makes a bit more of a deeper noise. I've not really noticed any drone either.
It's enough for me at the moment.

Outside is fine and startup, I've mulled the BMWPE but don't want it chav.

Need to hear one in the flesh as YT just makes all sound chav

But then I'm a person who wouldn't modify an M3 exhaust

Where are you based?

I'd go carless downpipe, cone air intake, inlet pipe and a map.
Then if it's still a bit civilised change your back box or cut it open and have both pipes welded up inside!

Golf tee mod done ...
JB+ fitted and not even maxed out on the adjustment...
Sounds nice and has enough power for me at the moment , I just wanted enough to keep the 1M honest..
The only thing I'm left wanting is a diff now.
Slippery slope this modding lark !
