30 days into ownership of my 135i vert 2008. I've ownwed all sorts, 911 C2, Mitsubish Evo 6, Merc C55 AMG and most recently Jaguar XFR and loved them all. TBH 911 underwhelmed and running costs of the EVO 6 were literally super car levels. I'm expecting on going maintainance beyond scheduled on the old but fiesty BMW. I've got a warranty that I have little faith in but it is a Hail Mary.

My OBD2 has been telling me my intermittent rough running and EML is a misfire on cylinder 2 so I've changed the coil pack. OK for a day but watching with mild anxiety. I've said before I feel an affinity to this little soft top E88 so am expecting and willing to spend on her over and above general maintenance but don't want a money pit and do need an element of reliability for work.

Bought at the right time of year so shouldn't lose much/anything if I sell in the summer. History/miles good. Remapped and needing a bit more from the exhaust noise. No real point to the post bar to say how happy the little beast makes me and any ownship advice welcome Cheers Dunc

The coil pack had failed. after intermittent misfire, so just back to normal, smooth as silk. Still a bit wary as it could still end up being the injector so watching the EML light like a hawk. I'll relax after a week as the previous misfire could disappear for upto 2/3 days so watch this space.
