Just bought my first BMW and have a question
The car is 4 years old and has just come off BMW lease on a 2011 plate having covered 122000 miles it has a full BMW service record.
However out of interest I was trying to check when the auto box was last serviced and it would seem BMW claim its lifetime fluid and does not fall under any maintenance schedule.
In 2008 there own service schedule detailed 100000 Miles but in 2011 they removed the service completely.
My question / concern is should I get it serviced now considering its already covered 122000 trouble free miles or is it best left alone considering its working fine.
Would I be better to just keep on punting the miles on and replacing the box with a low mileage one should it ever fail in my ownership ? ( I will be putting on 20k a year motorway)
