Is there any reason you want a zf approved garage I’m sure most decent garages are capable of changing the oil and filter and filling it to the correct procedure
Not saying your wrong to want an approved garage but it may open up a lot more options for bmw specialists

I used Rob Waller ltd in Witney, Oxfordshire. He was recommended on this forum (search) . ZF approved.

"I always use BMW brand, Always inc. filter" but the top 3 I would recommend

In Order:
BMW branded 5W-30
Mobil Full Synthetic 5W-30,
Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40,

or try Mazola if your feeling really cheap :)

Think Simon was looking for a gearbox oil change mate - although, BMW do recommend 0W30 (not sure if that's different where you are).

Me too, some garages are just crap with this sort of thing. The indy I use is pretty useless and they are all ex BMW as well. Nice guys, but they keep making errors like fitting none Msport springs to our E91 so it was like a 4x4 at the front and then not saying anything!!

I just got a quote from a non-approved gearbox guy and he was £450 (using the correct ZF gear) but in the same town as I live, waiting for another non-ZF approved in Westhoughton (close to me). Another approved I spoke to, only do commercials. Previous ZF approved, £414.00 but Huddersfield, a bit of a schlepp. ZF's approved website search wasn't working yesterday, I will try it again.
