I have a BMW 1 Series E87 120d and need to get some new front brake discs.

When I look online though there seems to be 3 options that all claim to fit:

Diameter:
- 284 mm
- 292 mm
- 300 mm

Any one have any idea which ones I want to be getting?

Thanks.

292 x 22 on a 2005 120d.

Off topic, have you checked which block breather you have? It's vital to get a Vortex in there, turbos are expensive! :(

Cheers for that.

Regarding the block breather... Please explain. Not familiar with it....
The early block breathers were a filter type, which clog over time. When they clog, the block can't breathe out (as the engine temp rises), and the internal pressure gets quite high. This back pressure causes a problem with oil flow out of the turbo, no turbo oil flow = dead turbo bearings.

BMW revised the design in 2006 to a vortex separator, after they had to pay out for a whole bunch of turbo's under warranty!

Definitely worth checking which type you have, Bomber had kindly done you a nice guide here:
