Update – the below features are confirmed as missing from current 128ti deliveries, regardless of build sheet or chosen options/packs:
  • HUD
  • Wireless charging (the pad may be present, but no electrical components will be)
  • Storage cubby by the steering wheel
  • Rear door trim & ambient lighting
  • Touchpad on the iDrive controller
  • Power socket in the boot
  • Metal strip from the upper face of the boot trim
  • Inner portion of the rear indicator (LED strip and all related wiring is entirely missing – currently not known to be possible to retrofit)
This might not be an exhaustive list, so make sure you carefully inspect the car on collection!

We’ve had a 128ti on order since April for delivery in Australia. The ship is arriving next week in Melbourne so we’re exited but I’m wondering if anyone has had anything deleted on their 128ti once delivered that wasn’t deleted on the build sheet? For example I’m really wondering about the HUD although this isn’t mentioned on our build sheet.

Check when i get it.hopefully not a lot, they have had enough time to get the parts
Saw our dealer today, and we won’t lose anything beyond the wireless charging and the touch pad as on the build sheet they think. Also, no heads up display they expect, because none of the 128ti they’ve sold recently have had it. That’s disappointing because I don’t think you can retrofit it. Oh well.

No rear interior lights and the key fob feels much lighter than my old 2020 135
I think it should be part of the standard equipment listed on the 128.."additional interior lightin" if you go to build on bmw site, go to extras and have a look at desription of that option..might be worth asking why it is not on and you were not informed.

I'm going to be pretty annoyed if the ambient lighting is missing.
Well this happened today. Lousy weather for a collection, but I can confirm that the storage cubby by the steering wheel, the rear door ambient lighting, the touch pad on the idrive wheel and the power socket in the boot aren’t fitted. Didn’t really drive much today - torrential rain and loads of traffic light-controlled roadworks so it’s all queues and huge puddles everywhere today. Hopefully dry tomorrow

Finally got our car and as expected had some deletions.
No HUD,
No strip of Ambient lighting on the back doors although it does have a few leds in the back doors that change colour.
I specified the performance tyres expecting PS4s but ours annoyingly has crappy P Zeros. Dealer explanation was that BMW must have run out. 😡
Unexpectedly to me the outside of the car lights up like a Christmas tree, with puddle lights and lights on all the door handles, so that’s a bonus.
overall though, love the car. 👍
