Anyone know what this is?
My initial thoughts were Lotus Eclat but not sure.

It's been sat here for as long as I remember. Is it worth saving?

Nope, they tend to be a bit unloved, especially earlier ones.

The meaning of Lotus (especially in relation to that era) doesn't help

Loads Of Trouble Usually Serious

You were close with Eclat, as they were essentially the same car, the Eclat was a fastback version of the Elite, the Elite being a proper 4 seater rather than the Eclat which had a much reduced rear headroom.

Engine rebuilds aren't cheap.

Well, I was a Club Lotus member for a good few years when I had the Lotus-Sunbeam, so spent a fair bit of time around other Loti as well.
