I ordered a focus st-3 and they kept delaying it so cancelled and got the m135i

I also went to order an ST from my local Ford dealer (EH Motherwell) but the salesman was a complete idiot and wouldn't let me test drive one until I ordered it. Wasted 2 hours of my day so I went and bought an M135, thank God he was so terrible is all I'll say!

Exactly the same thing happened to me!
Even got as far as negotiating a very good deal on a new ST-3. However.... M135i arrived 2 weeks ago!

My choice was between Focus RS and M135i. Just couldn't bear the wait on the Focus and wanted to try an auto box.
I'm still happy with my choice, loving live in the M135i.

Not in same league at all, but cost wise - maybe it was just the horrendous dealer I tried to deal with - the M135 wasn't that much more monthly / deposit wise.

No, that Autocar link is to the RS, which is a bit of a beast by all accounts.

The OP is talking about the ST-3, which is a 245bhp hot hatch.

I find you either love fast fords or you don't, personally I like some of them. A friend of mine has a mint Mk1 Focus RS and it's a cracking car.

I'd still have an M135i over even the new RS, but then I'm more of a BMW fan than a Ford one generally.

You wouldn't like fords customer service either. I had a MK1 focus RS and had it back in to replace the coolant hose clips as they were leaking, the car was still under warranty and ford had sent out a technical memo about the problem but the dealer charged me for the work. I rang ford customer services and they weren't interested. I couldn't believe it!

I love my Fords and i'll be honest, the only reason I'm not in the new FRS is money.

That is not to say I don't like the BMW, in fact I absolutely love it. Bang for buck IMO it is the best hot hatch out there at the moment and the engine is to die for!!!!!

I too had a Focus RS MK1, for 7yrs, running 390bhp, never let me down once and up to now has been the best car I have ever owned, so the M135i has a lot to live up too!

Got my cable/USB lead to hook up and update my JB4 FW, so I can commence trying Map 5 etc!!!!!!!!
