Warning to anyone who likes that near side door mirror with auto dimming.
It's going from week 9 on all BMW models.
Will check the latest bulletin about any other spec changes affecting the M135. This is the significant one.

I picked mine up on 2nd Jan and for the life of me I haven't been able to get the mirror to dip when in reverse! Maybe I was an early culprit?!

Have you made sure the mirror selector for adjustments is on the passenger side? It should then automatically dip

My 2012 f30 320d doesn't do it either a bit annoying tbh and I've tried the switch in every position

Do those that don't dip have the electric folding mirrors? The dipping function only comes with this option

That's a nice little feature to lose out on.

It certainly helps avoiding crunching the wheels when parallel parking.

Coding the puddle lights to come on with the reverse light helps improve kerb visablity at night.

It does seem a weird one to code out, too many motor warranty claims possibly??

Mines scheduled for week 8 so hopefully I retain the feature! It'll be annoying without it as I use it every day!

Why remove it. It doesn't cost Bmw anything if it's just coding that makes the function operational.

If it does come without it and it is "coded" back on; is this something a BMW dealership would do or is it something that is done elsewhere therefore voiding that element of the warranty (i.e. any claim for nearside mirror motor failure)?

I ordered my M235i in October with this function, it's not been built yet but if it doesn't have the spec I paid for BMW will be keeping it

I'm surprised the car hasn't been built yet, have you deliberately delayed it for a 16 plate or is the backlog THAT long?!
