Just a quick one about tyre pressure monitoring.

I have (maybe naively) not been checking my pressures as the car, I thought, was doing this for me.

I'm now 12k miles in and have never (gulp) checked my pressures besides on iDrive. I'm now getting a message on iDrive saying check my tyre pressures and the manual says check my pressures every two weeks...?

So what is the TPMS doing?

I drive around with the RDC up most of the time, my new favourite toy! Set to preset 5. :)

I expect you're experiencing a bit of Boyles Law, pressures plummet with temperature, mine drop about 1 Psi for every 5 Celcuis.

Let them drop low enough and you will get a TPMS warning.

Similar to marco, I have the Tyre pressure screen set to preset 8 and press everytime I start a journey and half way during a journey just to check all 4 are within 0.3 psi of each other.

Temperatures are the factor here, yesterday I got a warning and when checking all 4 tyres they were all same pressure (I had them set to 35 psi 3 months ago, yesterday morning at -2C they were all 31.1 or there abouts), so either I have 4 punctures, or the RDC is just telling me its gone below a threshold compared to when it was reset.

Its normal for this time of year, I'd do a reset again for this season's tempratures to keep it quiet and then reset again when you pump them up again.
