So I just had my 123d remapped, very nice change and driving a lot better now. However, the turbos are quite a bit louder now at mid-range - I suspect it's the bigger turbo which is making a more noticeable "whoosh" sound. Is this normal?

We don't any more boost to these as they are running very high boost to start with
I've seen other tuners adding loads of boost to these 123d which is not needed
Thanks for the reply Jason. I did tell the tuner that extra turbo boost wasn't needed to reach 260 bhp / 480 nm, but he told me it's inevitable. As I said before, you'd have been my first choice for a tuner but unfortunately we're not in the same country!

Are you still running that dodgy limp-mode map?
Thanks for asking Marco, appreciate it. He put on another remap yesterday and so far, so good. I had some hesitation in 3rd gear on rare occasions before the new map too, that's gone as well. It was either that or getting the original map put back on. I settled for the mid-way by asking him for a copy of the original map. The plan still is to get a Stage 2 map elsewhere... unfortunately, options here are extremely limited. The only maps I can have are from:

- Uber
- Unicorn
- BCS
- Elite

And that's because the market here focuses on budget rather than quality. No one is prepared to pay top dollar for a good map save for some extreme car-nuts like myself.

So I sent a message to Ecotune asking them for the price of the iFlash tool + Stage 2 software, still waiting for a reply. I'd have preferred an on-the-fly dyno map but the next best thing will do.

Could you post your ECU to Jason??
Mine's a daily so that would be the very last resort... I have a garage but I'd have to rent a car for 2 weeks minimum. If I use DHL that's about 150 euro tacked on to it, might get done in a week but that would cost me overall about 800 euro... and that's without the downpipe + fitting.
