Always had black cars up until now so never really noticed tar spots at all... But now I have a white car and it is COVERED in them! Any recommendations on the best way to remove them?

Auto Finesse Oblitarate.

Clean your car from all deposits on the paintwork first, by pre-washing, then 2 bucket method and drying. Then spray some onto affected area(s). Leave for 5 mins and wipe off with a clean microfibre. If some still remain after wipe, reapply and wait 5 mins again, then wipe. It will come off eventually. Don't scrub as it will scratch your paint.

Alternative is to use clay bar/mitt but you have more chance of damaging your paintwork if you don't know what you're doing.

I normally get a bit of autoglym polish on a cloth and gently use that to draw the tar off the paintwork as it softens it (the tar not the paint!)

Used the Oblitarate for the first time yesterday and would definitely recommend it. Used a soft cloth and gently rubbed the spots and hey presto! Gone!
