As some of you guys know, I currently run Ispiri CSR4 18's on my 1 Series. I am going to be changing them to Zito 935 18's over the weekend, provided they fit, they will stay on the car and the Ispiri's will go into Storage but what is the best way to store them and how long will the tyres last in storage before they start to crack and perish? How long till the pressures in the tyres drop? I won't be keeping the Ispiri's in storage indefinitely, depending on how I feel, I'll change them for shows or daily driving, i.e. if I want to run with dish for one show, I'll swap them over, if I want concave for the next show then I'll swap them back.

I have bought these:
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

To keep them clean and will also wrap the front face and back barrel of the wheel with cardboard to keep them safe from damage. Is there anything else I need to be wary of when storing them?

Try and store them out of direct sunlight (although with the bags it's less of an issue) and in a place where the temperature is steady if possible.

Tyres should last for a while, check the dates on them. You want to use them up before they're 5 years old really.

Thanks for your reply! I'm sure they'll be used up by then :twisted:

I'll see if I can make space for them in my room and keep them in there.

Horizontally, not vertically, I usually stack them

I read when I stored my summers that stacking more than two high can sometimes "crush" the bottom tyre because of the weight from all the others. I went to Ikea and bought a cheap but sturdy shelving unit so they now all lay flat on their own shelf. The whole unit is covered in a thick blanket to protect from sunlight. Doesn't really take up much more space than if they were stacked.

Any chance you got a link to the one you bought?

I will try and find a link for you but to be honest 'nivens' above seems to have an even better idea! At £22 that seems really good value too!

Just to update this, the Richbrook bags I bought seem to be of **** quality really. One of the tighten down straps, clip together with a buckle like tihs:

The female buckle has broken.

There is also a handle at the top to lift the tyre, this is also ripping from the bag.

Would not recommend these to be honest.
