Some ****** decided to key the back of my car.

I have front and rear cameras on a time lapse when parked, I can see who parks next to me the passenger gets out and walks past the front. Then 2 minutes later you see (I assume the driver) someone walk past and scratch the rear of the car. He angled himself right so I can't see his face :(.
Informed police, but doubt they can do much.
Will be getting some quotes to get it fixed soon, anyone have any idea for ball park figures?

Absolute scumbag of a man. Pity your dashcam didnt catch the registration as they parked up next to you. I'd take it into bmw as I've always been pretty surprised at how competitive they are when I've had them do work on my cars.
I do have the Reg. Provided to the police. I don't think the footage is good enough though to prove anything.

Seriously? Why??!! I cannot get my head around why someone would damage someone else's property just for the sake of it. It makes my blood boil!!

Sorry to hear about this I hope you get it sorted

I wouldn't be too sure he'll not get done. Somebody on here not long ago had a similar thing happen and the cops got a result. His cam footage didn't even catch the guy, jusy him walking up to it then a scratch sound im sure it was

Just had a quote of ÂŁ190 to fix, less than what i thought still annoying though!

It's... normal. Happened to my old car twice in a year. Once at a car park for a concert, another time at home outside on the street. Before that, it was in a garage at home and work car park.

Normal, casual behaviour as we can see, and no-one really cares. I am sympathetic of course but any police action would be notable only for its novel rarity.

Sorry to hear this happened buddy.. I bought an immaculate low mileage jdm Honda prelude 2.2 Si for ÂŁ3500 in early 2006 (most I'd ever spent on a car and was my dream car since 90s and gran turismo 1).

Within two weeks of owning it, it had been scraped on two corners from car park muppets and keyed the full length on both sides down to the metal. This was in Norwich in North park area.. Had no enemies and barely knew anyone there anyway.

Hope your cam footage gets results with the police. Some people just can't stand to see other people happy.

I had a result reporting ASB (anti-social behaviour) kids in a park near me; I had called in disturbances/bin fires and nothing much happened. I then e-mailed GMP and copied in my local councillor and MP. The Police were round that week to talk to me and are now patrolling the area and the problem has got a lot better. Worth a try!

Have you DVLA checked the reg?
To see if it's MOT'd and Tax'd?

People who do this sort of thing are absolute scum bags, ...jealous disgusting people.
You can guarantee if someone did it to their car or some property they had/liked/loved then they be pi**ed off but strangely they have no empathy for others. :censored2:

Deserve some broken bones imo and definitely some naming & shaming if they were/are known. I don't use Facebook or anything but if you do maybe it's worth posting it on there (pictures, video, time & location etc) to see if anyone can "help".

Honestly, The police aren't going to do SH1T unless you keep pestering & pestering them... Of which it's not worth doing over ÂŁ150-ÂŁ200.

Just keep a mental note of the reg. Follow the driver home & Pull him outta his car. Then proceed to curb stomp him & help yourself in his house and take a TV as well just for your troubles & the ÂŁ200 to fix the car... Hahaaha

In reality, it's a lost cause mate. People are As$holes for no reason & they'll always be about. Either Pester the police or just move on and pay it mate. Bit of a ****tyy situation.
