Because you have to pay Sky £10 per month to use the recording feature so I bought a Humax.

Yes. But you will need to run coax down from the dish.
As a buddy Rob, if you want it I will knock the price down by a fiver.

No mate I had installed a distribution system so used them to control the Sky box from other rooms using "magic eyes" Luckily these still work with the Humax box but I had to buy a Trilink modulator.

Does it have to be from dish or can I add a T piece in behind my original sky box?

I have just rearranged my living room and had to extend the sky cables to enable me to move the TV, so I'm guess it's just sharing that original signal?

No. The satellite signal is not sharable like the RF one from a normal terrestrial signal.

You can use the RF2 out from the back of the Sky box to run a signal to another tv but you will only be able to watch the same programme on each set.
Buy my box and run another coax down from the dish and your a happy chappy again
