Last week I took my 2015 116D in for the recall and had the EGR cooler replaced. Ever since then i've had a significant loss of power - like half my normal power, but not error codes at all.

I've checked the sports display and now the car is topping out at around 60hp if i'm lucky and a 160Nm hard stop of torque. I can now barely keep up with fiat cinquecento!!!! I struggle to get to 60mph and 70mph is now a blessing.

Is it possible that the EGR recall has caused this, or is it bad timing and could be something else?

Check the hoses for leaks…. Or something not re-fitted correctly.
when mine went in for the first Egr recall two years ago the loosely termed ‘mechanic’ broke a hose and instead of replacing it, taped it up for its whole length to make it look good.
the resulting low mpg took months to find!
I’m still, procrastinating on booking mine in after the last experience for this latest recall.

Agreed, sounds like a boost leak to me, as an initial gut reaction.
