Right so I know it's all condition based and to be fair we are doing short journeys but the car is 3 weeks old with just under 700 miles on the clock. The date it's displaying is 12/17 which sounds about right for its first service. But it's gone from 19000 miles till next service to 17000 in 3 weeks and 700 miles. Is it worth a call to my dealer or will it settle?

It will settle and maybe go up. Mine went 17 16 17 16 17 for ages and then started coming down. Now done 8k and showing 12 to the service

I've never known it go up. My previous car 118d E88 was as I would expect it to go down and we are doing the same journeys in this new car. I'll leave it for a couple of months and see what it does then. I've already hassled my dealer enough after a 3 month wait for the car

Lots of short journeys in cold ambient temps and it will go into freefall. What's your average MPG?

Nah I didn't bother. Had it on my E88 and only got 1 service out of it so technically my first service cost me £500! Didn't seem worth it on the M135i either as will prob keep it 2 and a half to 3 years anyway.
