I have a build slot as in the post title, but due to moving house etc etc and placing a deposit on a FRS I don't need it anymore.

Would be nice to think that it goes to a good home, other wise I will just release it and get the £500 back from the dealer.

Yes, but I thought someone on here may want it as it is a confirmed 2016 build i.e. I can transfer it to them.

Yes, it does seem a bit strong to question my ethics. I was trying to do someone a favour......

I see it as a change in circumstances and a favour to someone on the forum

hardly warrants a question of some ones ethics IMO
It's not ethical at all. YOU have a slot. Nobody else. If you don't want to take your option then it goes to the next person on the dealer's list. I think the dealer is just as out of order as you are for letting it happen.

Right, so because worse things happen in the World that means this is OK does it?

I think its a very nice thing you're doing Georgeski. Don't let one persons opinion affect your kindness.

Cheers Matt - will be gutted to give up the slot, but that's life, hopefully the Focus RS will be a reasonable substitute.

Totally agree, I think some people just like to pick fault and start arguments.

Ethics are subjective anyway. One person's ethics are another person's common sense.

Georgski? Ignore Mofomat he likes to make these holier than thou comments about lots of subjects. We just try to ignore him.

Would I accept that build slot? In a heartbeat and so would all of us apart from this one seemingly ethical person.

Moformat is in the Netherlands. Maybe they have a different translation of the word "Gentleman"as Georgeski obviously is one by offering his build slot to forum members.

Oh give over. Not every single time I post I'm trying to cause trouble. I genuinely think it's unethical to do this.

Why do people think it's acceptable to queue jump?

I'm British.

I don't see why Georgeski is being a "gentleman" by doing this. I have nothing against him, and I'm sure his heart is in the right place, but I don't think it's his prerogative to do that. There's a queue. Maybe the person behind him on the dealer's list would like to take that slot. Why should somebody jump the queue just because they happen to be on this forum? :?

I've seen if far too often recently where people put their name down for every high demand car. Then they either sell their slot, or sell the car on for profit on arrival.

Offering a slot up to a fellow forum member is a decent gesture, especially when others are doing the above.
