Has anyone had to have the headlight self leveling connecting rod replaced on their F20? Apparently mine was picked up on during it's MOT for being seized, although only an advisory. It's this part shown (item 4), I'm wondering how easy it would be to replace without paying the dealer to do it.

Arguably it's a design flaw seen in similar form on other models, and when most folks pick up on a problem, the thing has already proper broken due to the seizure, and instead of moving, it snaps.
I'd agree that trying to save it with a squirt of lube isn't a bad call, you never know it might just do it.
