So last week I ended up with a screw straight into the centre of one of my winter tyres causing a slow puncture. I have ordered a new replacement (at £180
) but was considering getting it repaired to keep as a spare. The tyres have only done 1000 miles and the tyre in question threw up a TPMS warning when it got down to about 32psi from 36 - so it hasn't been driven on flat.
What is everyone's thought on repairing runflats? No national places will do it, and the two independent places I have called with not do it "because it's illegal to repair them" (which it isn't...). It is worth finding somewhere to do it, or should I just grit my teeth and bin it?
