Removing light paint swirl - whats the best cloth ?

3174 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  BMWPulp
I have a tiny bit of swirl on my bonnet and some on part of the skirt under the passenger door, I can only see it in the sun but I want to get it sorted. I had a cotton/polyester cloth in my hand and accidentally caught it on the bodywork last week.

Now I have some meguiars scratch X which I have used on previous cars and as long as used appropriately works good,

I want to know what kind of cloth I can use that wont effect more swirl on the paint. Ive been really lucky so far apart from these two spots.

Would people recommend a Meguiars ultra plush super terry towel ?

cheers :cool2:

Very good mightynimrod.

BMWpulp, I use an old but good quality plush towel. Does both the application & removal of the polish very very well. :)

As for the Meguiars super dooper towel, go & get yourself one. I will be once this towel has had it's day

Ben,would you suggest I use meguiars scratch X to remove the swirl ?

I take it to do it very lightly with the microfiber cloth so I remove the swirl effectively with out creating more?

sorry for the questions, but I know you know your stuff! :D
thanks Ben, really appreciated. :D
