Interesting, mine is a 15 plate car, I will have to find out what was the build date of my car and see if I could be expecting a letter towards the end of this year or early next.

The later wheel
Has anyone here had the recall carried out yet? My mate has booked his m235i in for it and was told that they need the car for 48hrs and asked if he wanted a courtesy car? Does this sound right? What actually gets replaced on the recall, just the airbag? I just struggling to see why they're saying they need the car for so long.

That seems all kinds of wrong, I can change a driver’s airbag in 5 minutes, probably less.
Mine is booked in for this Wednesday, and was annoyed they wanted the car for 2 hours. I guess that must include a full valet.
That was my thinking. We swapped over his steering wheel, including transfering everything over to the new one, in about 30 minutes so I'm struggling to see why they have said they need it for so long just to replace the airbag?
I'll advise him to call a different dealership and see what they say.
Done, but this may (or may not) require resolution deoending on the answers I get.

Steering wheel alignment.
How is the wheel fitted ? Is it on splines which can be got wrong or some sort of woodruff key ? Having just had my airbag replaced I think the wheel is more off centre than it was, so before I start raising Cain I thought I had better check whether than can actually refit it wrongly or it's...

Completed today. Less than an hour including a free vehicle health check video, and a free valet.
