Pro navigation 2012 - 2014

I'm hoping there's someone can shed a little light on a query I've got. I'm looking at two M-lite's next week, a 62 plate and a 14 plate both with Pro nav. Looking at the options list the 62 plate is listed with CIC control for the nav - so whats the difference between the navigation on both of these cars?

The older car has better all round spec (comfort access, HK stereo, adaptive suspension) but I'm concerned about how much I'm missing out on with the older nav

Apart from slightly higher resolution and flashier graphics, I don't think there's much difference - maybe someone who's actually used both might be able to shed a bit more light though
I have a 62 plate with pro nav (so obviously the CIC).

I have never used NBT nav so it might well be a lot better but I think the media system in my car is brilliant (when coupled with connected drive services/ app interface/ enhanced Bluetooth/ harman kardon).

As long as you are not familiar with the NBT Nav (which it sounds like you're not) then you certainly won't be disappointed with the CIC.
I had business nav on my 2013 f21 but I'm not sure if that was nbt or not. I'm expecting more features with pro than I had with that one, just not sure if the nbt pro is simply a cosmetic makeover or if I'm gonna be missing out on any features

business nav isn't NBT.

NBT isn't night and day better than CIC but it is a significant improvement/upgrade. I've owned 4 cars with NBT/CIC fitted and NBT is better.

you won't be disappointed with CIC though.
Cheers dude
