On the M5 once, I was informed that there was a car on fire ahead. A few minutes later there was a bemused looking owner stood up wind of what started the journey as a non-fire damaged car. I had the mixed emotions of sympathy for the other guy and 'wow', cool warning!

We had a snow warning on the M62 towards Leeds last winter that was a bit out of the blue like this.

A couple of weeks ago, I had "Dangerous traffic situation!" come up - I kept clearing it by hitting the button on the stalk, and it kept coming back every few seconds; it was quite insistent! There was a hazard symbol on the nav map at a roundabout a few miles ahead which was clearly the situation it was talking about (as the message finally vanished once I'd gone past it) but I could see no sign of any dangerous situation when I got there, so I've still got no idea what it was talking about. To be honest, it got quite annoying as while the message was displayed, I couldn't see the clock...

I've never had anything like this. Is it something I need to turn on?
Doesn't seem to be - just every now and then, the Pro Nav pops up an odd message with a exclamation mark. I'm assuming it is associated with the real-time traffic information, so if you have that working, this is probably also enabled. (It's nothing to do with the speed limit display, as I don't have that.)

The message last week was the first I've had in 9 months of owning the car (7500 miles covered), so it's not that common an occurrence.
