Pre-sale detail!

So on Friday me and a mate both booked a date off work to go over the motor before it went up for sale... On Thursday I spent half a day going over the car with a clay bar and then Friday we did a fairly basic one stage machine polish followed by poor boys black hole and finished with an Auto finesse glaze, with all the usual pre preparation of snow foam and bilberry wheel cleaner. Unfortunately I have no 'during' pictures, however here's what it turned out like :)

Cheers for looking, Nick

Looks stunning Nick, good luck with the sale
Nice work. My car is also mineral grey. I've been looking for recommendations for detailing products. What compound did you use with your machine polisher?
Looks great. Love the garage too. Sound and vision in a clean and tidy garage is a dream at the moment!

Cheers, it was done with Menzerna cutting compound 400 one step polish :)

Thanks for the comments gents, much appreciated, a clean tidy garage with top gear on in the back ground is definitely a winner :)
Great result! Any reason for the sale?

Thanks :) I've got a company car arriving in 3 weeks so doesn't make too much financial sense to keep this as well as that, it'd be an expensive weekend toy that I'd rather someone else enjoyed and got for a good price
Looking spot on mate.

I spent three days preparing my ST before I sold that...

Cheers bud :) did you get rid of the ST fairly quickly?

Does everyone think this is priced about right?
Looks spot on. Glwts but why?
It's 'scrubbed up' really well.
Would you say the finish is better than showroom and is typical for a new car or better,in other words is it shinier than new ?

It sold in the first few days of going on PH to a lad from Birmingham, his dad worked in the used car business and he said he'd never seen a car prepared to such a high standard. I was gutted to see it go!

This is a shot of it before it was cleaned "properly"

I'd say the paint looks 'deeper' than when I picked it up and the finish is better definitely :) if I was to buy new again I'd get it un-prepped and have it detailed straight away

That looks superb! :eek2: With that sort of feedback it makes you feel like the time was definitely not wasted!

As mentioned before, company car and struggling to justify having two cars when this one costs a fair chunk per month to keep (finance, insurance, fuel)
