Hi, l'm looking to update my business head unit in my '08 e87 to a Pioneer DEH-X8500DAB that I'm getting off a mate. I've had a look through the forum but I just want to be clear what extra bits I'll need to get it all fitted please.
-CTSBM009.2 For steering controls, beeps & pdc
-Pioneer stalk patch lead
-Facia surround.
-ISO Wiring Adaptor
-DAB aerial
-Aerial Adaptor

If anyone can confirm if I'll need anything else or if there's anything I don't need on the list, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Looks about right, but you may not need the ISO lead as such, just the one that comes with the Stereo to connect to the 009.2

Anyway I had installed today the 8700DAB model.

Like you I came from the Business Radio.

All Steering Controls and PDC, as well as warning Chimes are still functioning.

You are looking at buying the 8500DAB, what is the cost difference between this and the 8700DAB? The 8700 is perhaps the better of the two units.
I'm getting the 8500 cheap from a mate who is upgrading again which is the reason I'm going for that. To buy them new the 8700 is about £70 more expensive than the 8500 which suggests it will be better but I don't think I'll be shelling out the extra money.
