Firstly why I spelt 'no' as 'know' is beyond me but don't know how to change post title, sorry!! I've just ordered my first bmw, a long beach blue manual m2. I have specified the electric glass sunroof at £895. Be interested to know opinions on those who have a sunroof on their 2 series at the moment. I'm 6ft and wondering about head room, especially as I may track the car a few times.

Also I wonder if an 'm' car should have an sunroof and unthinkable the car looks better without it... Basically I'm torn, so any pics and opinions are welcomed!!

Thanks in advance

It always seems exactly the wrong place to add a load of weight, add in the reduced helmet room, extra expense and possibility of leaks, it's a lose-lose for me.

I know some people love the extra light though, especially if they have a dark interior.

My first car had a sunroof and it's just something that doesn't appeal to me. The fact they cost so much baffles me too. Even if a sunroof was only an extra £50 option i still wouldn't go for it....but that's just my opinion.

I love mine in my m-lite.....

Yes they are expensive but I chose it over the silly £900 nav upgrade.

Lucky guy, mine isn't into cars and loathes every penny I spend on it. She did once tell me to 'do' someone though, shocked me a bit

This is my first car with a sunroof and I must say I love it!

Come summer it is cracked open on every drive - works great with the MPE!

Lol... Sunburnt head!!! Well I'm in UK so Sun is not really something we are accustomed to. The main thing I think that bothers me a little is the look, the weight as I'm buying the m2 for performance fun, and the height for helmet clearance.

Ok It really is a simple as this -

Flip a coin for heads sunroof and tails no sunroof. You can even ask Siri lol.

If it's heads you then have two options.

1. Go with the sunroof as the coin is heads.

Or

2. Flip again best 2 out of 3.

Either way you have your answer.

Try it you'd be surprised you actually do know what you want.

Yep, there is an old saying:

Filp a coin; when the coin is in the air, you'll know which side you're rooting for.
