took the cover off the engine today to have a nosy and noticed what looks like oil on a red rubber hose.

the hose is located at the bottom below the air feed its red and knobbly...

is it a leak or a build up of road fluid etc ?
anything to be concerned about ?

I have took a pic but I'm still trying to work out how to upload...there must be a simpler way than using 3rd party crappy apps ??

Looks like a charge pipe, pretty normal to find a bit of PCV oil in there from the block breather. Probably a slightly dodgy pipe connection, and 25odd psi behind it.

I guess you could clean it, keep an eye on it? I wouldn't be overly concerned.

just a heads up I ignored this pipe being oily and now having massive turbo issues as its split completely now, id advise you get it checked or check yourself for any small nicks and splits xx

I will check...was it easy to change do you know ? I was looking on realoem to try and find what part it was and found it connected to the turbo...
I guess prevention is better than a cure.

Wasn't hard to remove, waiting for replacement coming I'll send you the part number when I find it again it's intercooler to inlet boost pipex

I'm not convinced you two are talking about the same pipe! Yours runs from the IC to EGR, where as I think windyreds' runs from the turbo to IC.

Oh my bad then still get checker

It's the intercooler pipe..needs top and bottom seals about 12 quid each and an easy fix
