For sale a set of Koni FSD shocks. Purchased from the forum (from thetyrant) and never unpacked by me. I am told they have done a few thousand miles in total.

£300

Below is the text from Ian's email when he sold them to me:

Ok as promised some pictures of the FSD kit are attached, ive given them a good check over and all is working tiptop, seals are all good with no leaks and all mounting threads are good as well, there a few cosmetic marks as you would expect but nothing that affects the way it fits or works, worst bit was some paint flake on top of one of rear dampers which exposed bare metal so there was a very small amount of light corrosion starting which can be seen on pic of all dampers together, ive since wire brushed this off and treated with krust antirust then given it coat of black paint to further protect things so wont give anymore issues, this area is tucked away under dust cover anyhows once fitted but would rather you know the full story, they came to me like this with dust covers fitted and covering this area so i didnt know until i stripped them off and cleaned them up!.

On base of fronts where they slip into hubs there is some paint chipped as well, i gave this area a light coat of silver/grey paint when i fitted them as you can see on pics, i will clean this up and give them a coat of black in that area to cover it, again its not an issue as its mostly hidden in hub but would rather mention it to you.

Anymore questions let me know.

As far as I know, yes. There is only one part number for Koni FSDs to cover every 1st generation 1 series model ie from the lightest cars eg 116i to the heaviest which I guess are 130i/123d.

Nice setup these :)
If anyone is well placed to comment on all possible 1 series suspension set ups it is you, Ian.

I know you have spent countless hours trying to find the best ride.

I didn't bother fitting the shocks. I just went to another extreme and bought a different car. Tried a 530i, too slow after the 130i. Ended up with an E500 5.5 Coupe. Bit of a sleeper!
