Next car...always looking!

I love my M135i to bits, it's a great value 'one car fits all', and surprisingly economical considering the awesome performance. But like most petrol heads I'm always on the lookout for what to get next. So far the only alternatives I've come across are:
Alpina B3
Mercedes C63
BMW M3

I use the car every day and although performance is very important I also value comfort on our pothole covered roads. I have adaptive dampers on my car and I still think it's a bit stiff for everyday even in comfort and on non run flat tyres.
With this in mind I've read good stuff about the Alpina B3 being a bit more civilised than the M3, even if it's not as sharp when going for it, but has anyone got any experiences of the latest C63?

Like some of you folks, I may end up with another M135 (can't get the 235 cus I need back doors) and it's tough to argue against it, any thoughts?

A45 AMG?
340i I hear there are good deals on them atm
Gtr ;)

Then aventador
C63 would be my choice, although I do want a E92 M3 (DCT) too at some point
Well your user name suggests a VW, but your sights are possibly set a little higher. I have owned the old E46 versions of 3.3 Alpina and M3. I found the Alpina to be the perfect blend of comfort / handling, with the best noise in any car I've owned. I imagine the current model is similarly competent.

Know what you mean about always looking, I bought the 5 year service pack to encourage me to keep this one, but haven't even had the first service yet and the test driving has started.
The Mercs are lovely except for the gearbox; the down shift delay is a total kill joy and gives DCTs a bad name.

Drove my mates A45 AMG last week and didn't notice any issues on the downshift.

The DSG box on my old Golf R was shocking compared to the M135i, tbh this is one of the things that sold the car to me. :lol2:
Got my heart set on an M4 next, just waiting for the numbers to work :lol2:
Comfort on our roads, you need a hovercraft.

Definitely need something that floats in the North West!

I'd take the C63s over the M3/4 or alpina any day, With its V8 its a no brainer and sounds worlds apart from the F80 M3, BMW really missed a trick there. Heck I'd even rather the 6.2 C63 over the M4, for me emotion of driving is the biggest aspect of driving, nobody will get near the sort of numbers say a GTR can put out on UK roads so things like noise, presence etc are most important to me and the C63 has those in abundance

Seconded.

But I fear that this car would be the end of my license lol.

I know. I'm still doing insurance inspections in Carlisle this morning.
