Apologies if this thread has already been asked but I'm getting some new tyres on my 123d coupe but I want to get rid of the feeling of driving a boat. Every bit of wind feels like the car is gonna vear off to the side, so just want a more solid feel on the road. I've been running the Michelin accymetric think its 225/40 on the front and 245/35 on the rear.
Any ideas much appreciated as gonna get wheels refurbed and powder coated ferric grey at the same time

Michelin don't make a tyre called an Aysmmetric as far as I recall. Find out exactly what you're running (including load index and speed rating) and we'll see if we can find you something better.

Crosswinds effects are usually predominantly down to Yaw rate, rather than tyre choice though. Fitting a stiffer front Anti-roll bar might help, the ARB from an E90 M3 would bolt on in minutes.

Sounds about right tbh.

My money still goes on a stiffer front ARB to reduce the yaw.

Will definitely look into that thanks marco, I know it's been asked many of times before but what's the best size of tyres to run?

Exactly what you've already got. You could step up to a 255/35/18 rear if you needed more traction, but the slightly taller tyre wall won't help your boatiness, if it's that bad.

Just go into Google images and type in "White BMW E82 anthracite", see what pops up. You'll have to scroll a bit bit you should get lots of hits.
