I would be interested to see the extent to which it obstructs your view as a driver. It looks like it's sitting quite high up relative to where an OEM unit would be placed.

Those Android screens are Chinese wholesale units sold under hundreds of different brand names. Might as well cut out the middleman and buy one direct from the wholesalers on AliExpress for half the price.

Yes, they are all clones but I'd firmly recommend against getting an Ali one, you'll find it impossible to return or get support if you need it.

I have one and they're excellent, you MUST get one with Android 10 (or higher) and a MINIMUM of 4GB RAM. An Android 11/6GB would be my choice if I were buying one today.

I got mine from AVIN USA, they are the same clone, and they are not based in the USA, but they offer surprisingly good support and also exchanged my unit reasonably easily.


You may get a better deal elsewhere, I have no affiliation with AVIN, YMMV.

Very good point, although for UK buyers using a credit card mitigates this as we get section 75 protection, making the ~50% price delta between onshore and offshore sellers much more attractive. Irrelevant anyway, as I've now noticed OP isn't UK-based!
