Hi all,

I've been reading this forum as a guest for a few months gathering some information on my new purchase!

Some info on me..

I'm a new BMW owner! I bought a 2000 S3 8L 4 years ago and have modified that one quite abit. So I'm pretty up to date on the modifying scene. It's recently made 605bhp 440 lb ft (badger 5 rollers show lower torque figure. Other dynos have shown 510 lb ft) which was built and mapped by Badger 5. It's currently back in for some upgrades.

Now you're probably thinking why I actually need the m135i? I wanted something abit more civilised and relaxing. The S3 is amazingly fast and surprisingly comfy but tbh I fancied a newer car. I also own a fiesta but that's just my work horse.

So 3 cars.. Really? Yes and I use them all for different reasons. The beemer I'm going to use as a weekend/ relaxing drives that I tend to do. The Audi is there for sheer giggles or when something beats me in the M135i, the S3 comes out for revenge. Lol!

So far I'm really impressed with it! I picked the car up from Coventry synter which were really good, listened well. I'm a detailing enthusiast so I asked them not to touch or clean the car - they listened! I sent the car straight to White details in the East Midlands who did a new car prep with the CS black (crystal serum and EXO) sealant.

Here's a few pics!

Ok I'm guessing I can't add pics yet. But the pics are on the White details page on Instagram and Facebook! Pics of my S3 are on my insta at S3_gops! Looking forward to using this forum and hopefully adding a map to the car! Recently I asked MRC if they could map it, they replied yes! But before anything, I will be trying Badger 5 to see if bill may be able to or wants to do some development.

Thanks for reading!

Thanks Guys! :D I doubt i'll do much to the M135i apart from a map and exhaust. Its a lovely car as it is and although its not as quick as the S3, it beats it in every other aspect. Im really impressed on how the M135i handles, its really good! Soon i'll be putting some KW V3's on the S3 so we'll see how they both handle. The S3 is lardy and needs bigger brakes with the Power upgrade!

I had an s3 before my m135i great car although mine just about pushed the 275bhp barrier. I just added you on insta and Jesus Christ your S3 goes ridiculously fast. That speed pick up from 100-140 is immense

You must be making mugs of so many people in there 100k+ cars

Thanks dude! I've put the better video up from 80-160 it just doesn't stop pulling. I've been off the clock easily and very close to hitting the 8200rpm limiter in 6th gear! So we're looking into some suitable final drive ratios!

I find humiliating the V10 R8's brings most pleasure! i actually want to go to those super car dyno days just to add some spice, if I can get the car to dyno more than most super cars there, that would be funny to see the owner of A 100k car being out powered by a sub 20k car!

How much has that car cost you out of interest. Mods must be nearing 20k at least. I can't even imagine the work you have had done. When did you have to forge the internals? What power do they give up?

Ive never tallied it up, but around 15k I'd imagine. Everything was uprated. It's a 2.0 stroker, JE stroker pistons, IE rods, full supertech valve train, large port head from an AGU. Custom exhaust made by badger5, large "wellycooler" with 3" piping to the SEM inlet manifold. WMI, 850cc injectors etc. GT35 hybrid turbo with 84mm comp wheel. Tial exh housing.

Standard s3 engines have been known to bend rods as it's the torque that kills them. Crank and Pistons were forged from factory. The block is good to support the power but tbh I'd like to have a girdle installed soon to stop block flexing. It's in currently to have the new badger5 1.5" runner manifold as mines on nortechs 1.25". The bigger runners should help release the flow restriction I was hitting at 2 bar boost.

The block is forged from factory as is the crank. 2 bar isn't really much tbh, the a45 amg on a map runs 2.1 bar. Some evo's with less power run at 45 psi!! In reality with some timing and moderate boost and a good engine, 600bhp is achievable. The sister car to mine made 627bhp, the same as a McLaren F1!!! How times have changed!
