CAn't wait - my new M135i LCI arrives this Friday.. it's been a long and arduous process to say the least... I had originally thought about getting a Golf R due to the deals available - but the 6 month waiting list put me off... I ordered the new M135i because I was only expecting a 12 week build time... it's been almost 7 MONTHS!!!.. there had been a **** up with the original order and when they went to sort it out Sat Nav etc was compulsory and affects the price etc.. order had to be restarted.. they had made a couple of mistakes with order as well etc.. and then there was Christmas where the factory shuts down for two weeks... BUT - the good news is that the end is in sight!!.. Friday AM and the new chariot should be here!

Spec below:
Mineral Grey
Black heated leather
Brushed aluminium with high gloss finish
Extended storage pack
Front and rear parking sensors
High gloss shadow line
LED headlight package
M sports suspension
Manual height adjustable seats
Non smokers pack
Sports function on gearbox with steering wheel mounted paddles
Reversing camera
Standard audio (had the HK on my last F20 and wasn't that impressed... not quite to the same extent that some people rave about it on here anyway - mediocre at best in terms of my relative experience.. if I want to upgrade the audio at anytime then it will be easier to upgrade stock as opposed to trying to bin HK amps and speakers etc)

You don't see too many MG's in this part of the world.. even less so M135I's!.. mostly EB's.. and my last F20 was a white one - so fancied a change.. it was a tough decision between Black and MG (didn't have the balls for the VO) - but glad I went for the MG as think it look stunning!

Have you had any updates at all, since paying my deposit on xmas eve all he said was 'we will catch up in new year'. Is there anywhere I can get updates on what stage it is at?

probably down to the dealer - although I'd definitely chase if you want an update!.. I got regular updates throughout!

My new car arrived yesterday... only took them 7 months to build it!! LOL!

And as if the frustration of waiting wasn't bad enough... it's been literally raining and snowing here constantly soon after I got it - so not really had much time or opportunity to test it properly.. but In the 60 miles or so I've done it so far - I'm VERY happy and all of a sudden the wait didn't seem to matter... obviously still running in and taking it easy.. counting down (*up*) the miles and praying for some better weather so I can enjoy it fully...

a couple of observations so far:
* the stock engine note is a lot better than people would make you believe.. sounds very 'fruity'
* the overal exterior design is a lot better than my old F20 (pre LCI) - the old design 'grew' on me.. this one I love straight away - in the flesh its 100 times better
* heated leather was one of the best decisions I made!! (especially given the current weather! LOL!)
* the BMW sat nav isn't half bad!
* the new entertainment system is fast and fluid and makes the old one look and feel laggy
* the brakes are OUTSTANDING (still need bedded in) - but I'm almost scared to tickle them as they are SHARP
* the auto sport box with flappy paddles is an absolute revelation compared to every other auto I've driven (and manual for that matter!!)... I wondered whether I would miss the manual stick and the feeling of involvement - my last F20 always felt a bit 'notchy' - but I put that down to me only being able to put 8k on the clock from new so probably hadn't even been worn in - but this thing is in another league completely..
* the reversing camera is a great option.. I almost ticked the box on my old F20 - but couldn't get over the 'bullet' hole design.. thankfully in the LCI it is very discreet and mounted in the bumper recess above the number plate

Getting excited from just reading all the posts glad to hear the cameras worth it as I did doubt it a little as I spec'ed it.

in my opinion, the camera is good.. not had too much chance to use it a lot.. but works great with the rear sensors (which are always very generous with their measurements).. good wide angle of view on it as well... I reverse into my space and there is bushes etc at the rear - so its a great aid in being able to accurately see any issues..

I seen your dealer mucked your order up. Was it Eastern by any chance because they mucked mine up and i ended up ordering elsewhere.

yep at the Gyle! LOL! - and no, the car was ordered through Park Lane.. never really had a problem with Eastern BMW to be honest... but MB on the other hand!
