The brake discs and pads need replacing front and back on my 120d M Sport.

I originally looked at grooved/drilled/c-hook but seems they are only effective on track, and for road they are mostly for show.

For general road use it seems a solid disc is better, with less road noise and larger surface area for stopping.

The name Brembo and Pagid seem to pop-up alot on forums. I had come across EBC but people only seem to rate the yellowstuff. There's Textar too which look like a big brother of Pagid and do the OEMs.

Any recommends of what to go for?

Cheers

One thing I have noticed for the pads though the rear seems to have one fitting option which is:

Teves
Height 1 [mm] 43,7
Height 2 [mm] 48,3
Thickness [mm] 17,3
Width 1 [mm] 123
Width 2 [mm]] 123

But the fronts have a few possible?! Um..

Teves
Height [mm] 57,8
Thickness [mm] 17,8
Width 1 [mm] 150,1
Without M-Tech

Or

Brembo
Height [mm] 73,5
Thickness [mm] 17
Width [mm] 164,8
With M-Tech

Or

Teves
Height [mm] 63,9
Thickness [mm] 20,3
Width 1 [mm] 155,1
Width 2 [mm] 154,6
Without M-Tech

So I found out for non M Sport cars the 63,9 H 20,3 TH is the 03/07 > and the 57,8 H 17,8 TH was > 03/07.

The M-Sport is 73.5 H 17 TH

By adding up the parts on carparts4less its only £10 between Pagid and Brembo with changing all pads and discs.

£175 sounds decent. I'm guessing ~£75 on top for a garage to fit them all, ~20 mins a wheel?

Don't forget the brake pad wear sensors.

Think 20 minutes per corner may be slightly optimistic.

Have read on here that people don't like the Pagid pads (don't have any personal experience though). Textar seem to be preferred.

I'm assuming one sensor for the front left and one for the rear right?

If I go Brembo, do I need Brembo sensors? They seem a bugger to find.
