They could have picked better cars for the poster.
Sounds like one massive chav fest!

It does :lol2: I bet there's some horrors on show but if that what's pleases some then so be it.
One thing I've never understood about the modified car scene, why do they all have the same awful taste in music? All the shows pull out all this outdated rave/techno/repetitive beat music. I've never actually seen a guitar band play.

Back 15-20 year the modified car scene used to be huge. It has died off a lot since then, maybe aside the VAG and slammed scene, neither of which I get.

I had a right laugh at the Scottish Car Show the other year. It was like a complete time warp where all the same cars from 15-20 years ago suddenly reappeared. Then the guy had booked TTF(that's a dance music group from 20 years ago) and it was as weird as anything. It was like paying homage to the worst parts of the scene that we all thought had been left behind.

Faded yellow Skylines as the headline poster cars and Audis with pink wheels make me think this will be similar?
I must agree that it's not for me, having said that I used to be into this scene, as I'm sure many on here did.

Maybe it's time to get down from ones high horse and accept that different people like different things?

I'm not sure it's a case of being on one's high horse.

I'm sure most of us have been into the modifying scene at some point or another, usually our youth. I'm old enough to have been part of the original Max Power scene. I'm sure a lot of us look back and have a chuckle where we went wrong.

For all the years I've done car shows, there's a huge amount of them the same. They all concentrate on the same thing and it is very much aimed at the youth. When you're 30+ you do feel very out of place.

It'd be good to see a modern take and actually make the shows a bit more grown up. I'm on a lot of car forums and it appears there's a huge market that are a bit older looking for something a bit more from a car show.

It is each to their own, but you shouldn't get shot down for offering an opinion.
To be honest the cars they have inside have improved a fair amount, also this year the owner of Slammed UK is in charge of what cars are displayed on the outside.

The club stands on the other hand is where you can find the shockers and the music that is played tends to be music that works well with audio, albeit it is annoying as hell.

You're going to the wrong shows then lol. Edition38 has always had great music with a great DJ playing all kinds of music. Mainly a chilled out vibe there. Same with DC, Same with Players. I'm yet to go to a Euro/VAG show and hear awful music.
Stop hating on the new car scene lol. Things have moved on since 'Max Power' which was completely full of stupid modified chav cars lol.

My post wasn't just aimed at you and no offence was meant.

I completely agree, I'm now 31 but also loved the max power scene 15 years ago. I suspect this type of show is attended by the younger crowd and back when we used to go to max power shows our elders were laughing and thinking "WTF"

I'll fully admit at 32 years old I'm still into the modified scene and find it hard to resist modifying my cars (to a good smart taste) not chavvy modding.

I also hope to get on a safe show stand, either dodo juice or the stance slammed one! I'm hoping my car is well worthy now!

I've already booked a hotel for the complete weekend, fingers crossed the car gets accepted now!

I do love bass and music and will be attending the cerwin vega stands as my mate is sponsored there but won't be up late raving! I'll be in the hotel sleeping whilst the chavs hit that scene, I'm there's for the cars and smart taste mods! :)
